FutureSkills – GenAI Digital Marketing Course Project

This was a term-long project that I did, in combination with the faculty of the IT Department. I wanted to test the limitations of AI for creating an online, self paced-course.

Almost every section of the course was created using AI, with a

Context & Problem statement:

“This problem is particularly relevant for small businesses who are doing their own marketing, or marketers who are wanting to streamline their client-based work.

This project and report will focus on testing available generative AI tools, identifying any issues within the tools, and creating content to help the audience improve their generative outputs.

Due to tools and image generation still improving, one key factor I wanted to focus on was how to improve image prompting, as this was something I didn’t see in many courses.”

Teaching focus:

I wanted to focus on student centred approaches, keeping it as open and as flexible as possible, for working professionals. (I have experienced frustration in the past when my OP courses were not like this, as it made it hard to apply the learning to my situations.)

The target learners were working professionals, so the “learning approach” was focused on short, chunked lessons, with a variety of content formats, and creating a basis for them to jump off from.
